My name is Ian, but like you, that is only the name that follows me and in some cases precedes me. Why did I begin writing? I love to read. I grew up in a house of readers. My parents and my sister were all avid readers. I did not have a chance at being anything else. It was expected I would be a reader and at some point I decided I wanted to write too. It seems like a natural progression for some people, especially if you are a story teller.

I have always been a storyteller and an entertainer and teacher. This has led me to coaching sports, the military, and the pulpit. Why do I think you should read my books? So you can grow with me. I have a dozen more books already outlined. I am just getting started and Lord willing and the creek don't rise, I will write these and another dozen after them. Writing a book is a love story between the author and the story. Speaking for myself, the stories are inside already, they just need to be typed out. I have them in my head and have been thinking of them and about them for years.

It is time. I have written a couple of books already and want to write more. Will I ever be a best seller? Not likely. It seems the market at the top is pretty exclusive and I am not likely to break through that ceiling with the kinds of things I am interested in writing. I can be an author you read though.
